Rockers Diary
This deluxe hardcover photo book features rare photos, including behind-the-scenes footage and artist photos, from the filming of the reggae film masterpiece, "Rockers." This book chronicles the days of Theodoros Bafaloukos, a young Greek man filled with a passion and curiosity for music, as he travels to the unknown country of Jamaica to complete the legendary reggae film "Rockers."
In 1975, as a budding photographer, Theodoros Bafaloukos was tasked with shooting clubs in Brooklyn for an article about Jamaican music in New York. Later, while working for Island Records, he visited Kingston for the first time and was captivated by its music. He decided to make a film with producer Patrick Horsey. During location scouting, he recruited local musicians, including Horsemouth and Dirty Harry, and filmed the entire film in Jamaica over eight weeks in the summer of 1977.
Despite numerous setbacks and numerous threats to the film's completion, the film was completed through the passion of the crew, cast, and director himself.
